UPDATE: Lafayette station has reopened, and trains are making stops there. There is currently a delay of 10 minutes between SFO and Antioch station.

BART trains are not stopping at Lafayette Station on the Antioch line after a serious medical emergency Tuesday morning.

The transit operator said to expect major delays on the Antioch line in the SFO Airport and Antioch directions.

Trains are currently single-tracking through Lafayette, and trains are not stopping at the station while crews respond to the "major medical emergency," BART said on Twitter.

Riders are instructed to use Orinda Station while the response to the medical emergency is underway. Commuters are advised that Orinda has plenty of parking, according to BART.

The County Connection No. 6 bus provides service between Lafayette and Orinda stations.
