Winter storm warnings were issued across California this week with snow peppering rarely impacted parts of the state, including the Bay Area, Santa Cruz and even sunny Los Angeles County.
As cities across the state experience a winter storm that hasn’t been faced in decades, what’s normally a warm beach state is now being covered with a blanket of snow.

University president pay has increased at a greater rate than that of faculty, who are preparing to strike in early December, and the system is raising tuition. Yet, Cal State execs still say their pay lags behind the national average.
Authorities are currently investigating the three separate murders that unfolded between Sunday and Wednesday in which all of the victims were without permanent housing, according to LAPD.
