Two persons were killed in an early Saturday morning "targeted shooting" in Hayward, according to Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 5:11 a.m., law enforcement posted on social media that deputies were investigating a shooting incident at the 21200 block of Mission Boulevard, and the nearby area on Mission between Cherry and Grove ways was closed.

After an initial investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said two persons were killed and two were injured, and the incident appears to “be a targeted shooting following an altercation/disturbance.” Police also said that there were no continuing safety concerns because of the shooting.
