1 Dead, Several Injured in North Beach Shooting

One person died and several people were injured in a shooting in North Beach Sunday night, according to San Francisco police.

A preliminary report from Deputy Chief Raj Vaswani, who oversees the investigations bureau, said the shooting occurred at Columbus Avenue and Broadway just before 11 p.m.

Vaswani tweeted that while the information he had was still preliminary, there appeared to be "possibly 5 victims, 1 who is deceased."

The deputy chief said that there was no additional information available and that SFPD would continue to work the scene Monday morning.
