BART officials reported early Wednesday morning there was a 20-minute delay in Downtown Oakland in the Antioch, Berryessa, SFO and Millbrae directions.

The delay is due to unscheduled track maintenance, according to BART officials, adding that the transit system is recovering from an earlier problem.

Transit officials sent out a service advisory about the delay at about 5:45 a.m.

This is a developing story.
