San Francisco firefighters rescued two people Wednesday afternoon after a car fell 100 feet onto a slope near Glen Canyon Park, according to authorities.

The car went over the side of the roadway on O’Shaughnessy Boulevard near Del Vale Avenue around 2:45 p.m., a San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson told The Standard.

Firefighters had to clear brush before rescuing the driver and a passenger, both of whom sustained minor injuries, SFFD said. The couple was transported by paramedics to a local hospital to be evaluated.

It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the car to go off the roadway, but fire department officials are encouraging drivers to be aware of the slick roads around the city due to rain.
