A man was shot and killed outside Chase Center in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood Saturday night, police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified him Tuesday as Kevin Quintanilla, 27, of San Mateo County.

The San Francisco Police Department said officers responded to reports of a shooting at 16th Street and Terry A. Francois Boulevard just before 10 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Quintanilla suffering from a gunshot wound.

A fire department spokesperson said medical units arrived at 10:02 p.m., following an initial report from a caller who said their friend had been shot.

Officers and paramedics rendered medical aid to Quintanilla, who was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A GoFundMe has been started by the Quintanilla family to help with funeral costs.
