A California Lottery ticket sold in San Francisco has won $1 million dollars, officials said Tuesday.
It comes as the lottery announced its first ever billionaire from a Powerball ticket sold in Los Angeles County. The ticket sold in San Francisco matched 5 numbers, reports ABC7.
"This means #CALottery has made its FIRST EVER billionaire," the California Lottery said in a tweet.
The winning Powerball ticket matched all six numbers and nets the lucky winner $2.04 billion.
ABC7 reports that the winning San Francisco ticket was purchased from a convenience store at 1001 Castro Street.
The big #Powerball winner was down in LA county, BUT there was a winner in San Francisco. They bought a $1.1 million ticket. Exciting for them and the store. @abc7newsbayarea pic.twitter.com/KaX7ldkiUH
