Earthquake Rattles Oakland Zoo, San Leandro

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.2 rattled San Leandro at 9:24 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The initial earthquake was followed by two 3.2 magnitude aftershocks at 9:43 a.m., the USGS reports.

The earthquake struck near Oakland Zoo. No damages have been reported by Oakland first responders as of 10:06 a.m.
