Boy stabbed at San Jose middle school

San Jose police say they are investigating a stabbing of a 15-year-old boy at a middle school.

The police department said on Twitter at 12:38 p.m. that the officers were investigating a stabbing incident at Sunrise Middle School, near San Jose High School on Julian Street.

The boys injuries are said to be non-life-threatening, according to police.

The middle school has been contacted for comment.

It comes just weeks after a boy was killed by a stabbing at at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa.

"We do not expect any significant updates," a spokesperson for San Jose Police Department said at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
