The court date for Collier Gwin's misdemeanor battery charge will fall just after Valentine's Day.

The art gallery owner was caught on video turning a hose on a homeless woman in the Financial District on Jan. 9, leading to international debate and outcry over the act.

Gwin was arrested Wednesday by San Francisco Police Department, mere hours after District Attorney Brooke Jenkins issued a warrant for his arrest.

He has since been released on a $2,500 bail and will next appear in court on Feb. 17, according to the District Attorney's Office.

An SFPD spokesperson confirmed that Gwin was arrested on the 700 block of Montgomery Street at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and transported to county jail, where he was booked on the charge of battery.

That block is also the site of Foster-Gwin Art & Antiques, owned by Gwin, where the spraying incident took place.

The gallery later saw its Yelp page restricted after a barrage of critical reviews, and an SFPD patrol car was then stationed outside after the business was vandalized.
