A man who allegedly beat a Habit Burger worker so badly that she lost an eye while she defended a special needs boy has been arrested for aggravated assault causing great bodily injury and mayhem.
Isaac White-Carter, a 20-year-old from Hayward, will likely see felony charges filed against him with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office, after the alleged November attack in Antioch, the city's police department announced on Wednesday.
The employee, 19-year-old Bianca Palomera, was said to be defending a boy with special needs from four men who she says were harassing him. A video of the alleged incident went viral online.
“He punched me once, and my headset and my glasses went flying off my face,” Palomera told NBC Bay Area.
"Antioch Police Department Special Operations Unit detectives worked in collaboration with the United States Marshals Service to locate Mr. White-Carter," Antioch police said on their Facebook page.
