Man Fatally Shot on Market Street in San Francisco

A man was fatally shot on Market Street in San Francisco on Thursday evening.

Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at a business on Market Street near Fourth Street at 6:33 p.m.

Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene who transported the victim to the hospital. Police said Friday morning the victim had died.

The police said the officers had detained a person possibly involved in the shooting. 

The victim has been named as Chynna Brown of San Francisco by the Chief Medical Examiner's Office.
