Victim Identified in San Francisco’s Deadly Ingleside Fire

A fire Saturday morning in San Francisco's Ingleside neighborhood left one person dead, the city's fire department said.

The blaze at the two-story house at 222 Byxbee St. was reported shortly after 7 a.m., and firefighters arrived within four minutes, the department said. Although the fire was controlled by 7:38 a.m., one person died.

The medical examiner identified the victim on Monday as Richard Wright IV, a 72-year-old San Francisco resident.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation, the fire department said.
