Local band Surprise Privilege drew fans and protesters away from a right-wing rally outside the university health center.

UC Berkeley said another 13 students and recent grads had visas revoked, bringing its total to 19.

Campus police advised students who are not on campus to stay away.

Students are concerned that as lecturers are laid off, class sizes will increase and registration will become more competitive. 

The university says declining enrollment forced it to cut classes, but laid-off lecturers disagree.
