A man has been shot dead in San Francisco's Western Addition neighborhood.

The shooting at roughly 3 a.m. Monday activated "Shot Spotter" cameras, which detect loud noises and flag them to police as possible shootings.

Officers attended the scene and found the victim at Laguna and Turk streets suffering from gunshot wounds. Officials identified him as Abdul Bey, 24.

Despite lifesaving efforts from emergency responders and medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The shooting comes as two other men were killed nearby this week. One man was killed in a stabbing in the Tenderloin by Geary and Larkin streets late Sunday night. Officials named the victim as Daniel Ward, 51.

Another 21-year-old man succumbed to gunshot wounds on Sept. 15, after suffering the injury during a Sept. 6 shooting at Turk and Buchanan streets. Officials identified the victim as Toriano Carpenter.

SFPD homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.

Editor's note: This article has been updated to include the names of two additional victims.
