A Caltrain struck a car at Broadway shopping center in Burlingame Tuesday evening, causing delays southbound from San Francisco.
The impact forced the car off the tracks, though its passengers declined medical attention, transit officials told The Standard.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m., according to Caltrain spokesperson Tasha Bartholomew, and involved a small sedan, possibly a Mazda.
Transit authorities have since taken the vehicle off the tracks. And while its occupants refused medical treatment, Bartholomew said first responders are attending to everyone involved.
Some 234 people were riding train No. 702 and none were hurt, Bartholomew added. She said delays could last as long as an hour.
