Two people fell about 15 feet down a cliff near Mile Rock in San Francisco’s Lands End and needed to be rescued Monday evening, according to the city’s fire department.

The San Francisco Fire Department tweeted about the rescue at 7:24 p.m., saying that two adults had fallen off a cliff at Mile Rock.

At 7:31 p.m., the department tweeted again, saying that one adult had been brought to safety and was being treated by medics while the other was injured and still being rescued.

The area remained an active rescue scene until the second rescue just after 8 p.m. The fire department warned people to stay away from the area.
