San Francisco driver dies in crash near Lake Merced

A San Francisco man died in a vehicle crash on the city’s west side Saturday evening.

Police officers from Taraval Station responded Saturday to the incident at Brotherhood Way and Lake Merced Boulevard around 6:45 p.m.

The San Francisco Police Department’s initial report indicated the incident appeared to be “a solo vehicle collision based on preliminary investigation.”

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the driver as Chung Cui, 30, of San Francisco and notified his next of kin. The office provided no additional information.
