San Francisco police arrested three suspects Wednesday after a Maserati collided with a Muni bus in SoMa during a police pursuit.

The Maserati collided with the bus just before 4:30 p.m. while attempting to make a turn onto Third Street from Bryant Street, the San Francisco Police Department said.

After the collision, three individuals emerged from the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot down Stillman Street, according to witnesses.

“I heard the crash, and then when I went outside, the three guys went running by me and almost pushed me down,” a nearby cashier, who asked not to be identified due to safety concerns, told The Standard. “The police were right behind them, so they got them not very long after that.”

Traffic at the intersection where the collision occurred was being guided by SFMTA officials as police continued to work at the scene.

The SFMTA spokesperson said the Maserati hit a 31 Balboa line bus, which sustained moderate damage. Buses were still traveling through the intersection Wednesday evening, though commuters were advised to expect residual delays as a result of the crash.
