Another global tech company is cutting staff in the Bay Area.
LinkedIn will reduce its headcount by 91 workers in its Sunnyvale headquarters as well as offices in Mountain View and San Francisco. The cuts will mainly impact recruiting and talent acquisition roles, according to a state filing.
The business social media platform is owned by Microsoft and employs approximately 21,000 people worldwide. LinkedIn connects 900 million people in 36 countries.
The layoffs were first reported Tuesday by the Mercury News and add to thousands of jobs that have been cut by tech and online companies in the Bay Area and around the world.

The news comes as more than 2,800 workers were laid off in SF last week alone: Twilio cut 1,500 jobs, DocuSign trimmed 680 positions and the RealReal shut its flagship Union Square outlet, resulting in 230 layoffs.
