Cops Catch Driver Blasting Down San Francisco Road at 109 mph

A driver was caught speeding at 109 mph along Highway 101 South near Richardson Avenue by San Francisco police Friday.
Officers said the driver was clocked at the high speeds on department issued speed gun—called a lidar device—before the driver ran multiple stop signs.
The driver was then pulled over near Sacramento and Stockton streets around midnight, where they were cited for speeding and running a stop sign, police said.
Richardson Avenue spans from the Palace of Fine Arts to Lombard Street in Cow Hollow and marks where the freeway ends and Highway 101 becomes part of Lombard Street.
Much of Richardson Avenue is residential and parts of it have a posted speed limit of 30 mph.
Officers from San Francisco's Northern Police Station posted an image of the speed gun showing 109 mph to Twitter.
