A possible shooting occurred near Golden Gate Park on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 18, causing no injuries but damaging a vehicle, the San Francisco Police Department said.

Police say that the victims were driving along 41st Avenue and Lincoln Way when they heard the sound of gunshots, before watching the alleged suspect drive away “at a high rate of speed.” They were not injured but later found damage to their vehicle that police say could have come from the gunfire.

The incident happened in the farthest west blocks of the Outer Sunset, near a Safeway supermarket and a few local coffee shops. A few blocks away, a mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint the previous day.

The investigation is still active and ongoing, police said.
