San Francisco police are calling Sunday night's deadly North Beach shooting an isolated incident, not a random attack.

The shooting at around 11 p.m. killed one 23-year-old man from Solano County, who was pronounced dead on the scene. Four others, all in their 20s and from across the Bay Area and Sacramento, were also injured, police said.

The shooting happened at Grant and Columbus avenues, a busy area popular with tourists that's also home to a number of bars and restaurants—including the Condor Club, a famous topless bar.

Officers located two shooting victims nearby, both 24-year-old men from Sacramento County. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The two victims were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two additional shooting victims, a 22-year-old man from Alameda County and a 20-year-old woman from Contra Costa County, were transported separately to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries prior to police arrival.

SFPD's Homicide Detail is investigating the incident.
