The public quarrel between San Francisco police and progressive District Attorney Chesa Boudin intensified Thursday as the city’s top prosecutor held a news conference to address Police Chief Bill Scott’s decision to no longer have the department cooperate with DA investigations into police shootings, in-custody deaths and other critical incidents.
Boudin, who is facing a recall election in June, sat down for an on-camera interview with The Standard to address the war of words between him and police, as well as whether the timing of Chief Scott’s decision was politically motivated.
