Two hospitalized after bus crashes into 16 vehicles near Daly City Target

A bus crash near a Target store has hospitalized two people, according to SamTrans.

The crash was reported shortly after 11:50 a.m. at the Serramonte Center in Daly City after a SamTrans bus crashed into 16 parked vehicles.

The fire authority reports multiple vehicles have been damaged.

A SamTrans spokesperson said: "A SamTrans bus was involved in a collision with 16 vehicles in the Serramonte Center parking lot, resulting in multiple injuries. [Two] people were taken to SF General, one of whom is in critical condition. SamTrans is working with authorities as they investigate the cause of the collision."

"We are working with authorities and actively looking into the cause of this incident to figure out what went wrong and how it can be prevented in the future. We will provide a more thorough update once that investigation is complete. Our hearts continue to be with those who were impacted [Friday],” said April Chan, SamTrans General Manager.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office were contacted for further details about the incident.
