14-year-old shot after multiple people open fire on San Francisco street

There are currently an unknown number of suspects.

A 14-year-old San Francisco resident was injured during a shooting on Saturday, police said.

Multiple people opened fire using a rifle and handguns, leaving the victim with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. It was not immediately clear if more than one handgun had been used in the shooting.

The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. in the Fillmore near Eddy and Scott streets.

Nonfatal shooting incidents are down 38% across the city between February 2022 and February of this year, according to the most recent police data available (opens in new tab).

The shooting is under investigation, and no further information about the number of suspects or the victim has been released.
