Singer, rapper and actor Janelle Monáe will appear at Amoeba Music in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. for a record-signing to promote the release of their new album, The Age of Pleasure.

Amoeba—which touts itself as the world's largest independent record store—warned fans that attendance will be limited, so fans are advised to reserve their admission wristbands in advance and arrive at the store early on Tuesday afternoon.

Monáe's new record was released on June 9 on Atlantic Records and received positive early reviews—garnering a 7.6 rating on Pitchfork. Amoeba will offer the album on eye-catching orange vinyl.

Monáe is an eight-time Grammy Award-nominated and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning performer who has lent their talents to such films as 2016's Moonlight and 2019's Knives Out. A notable activist in the LGBTQ community, their visit to San Francisco comes on the heels of an appearance at the Los Angeles Pride Parade and Festival on Sunday.
