Margaritaville is coming to Lake Tahoe

Margaritaville is coming to Lake Tahoe this winter.

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is slated to hit the slopes in Lake Tahoe at the end of this year, bringing with it a 13-foot, bright emerald green flip-flop (“inspired by Emerald Bay”), margarita glass chandeliers and 399 guest rooms.

Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe will be the company’s first ski resort and will occupy the site currently operating as Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel at the base of Heavenly after a multimillion-dollar renovation, a press release announced Wednesday.

The rooms will all be suites including separate bedroom and living room spaces, and the property boasts an indoor heated pool and a nine-story open-air indoor atrium.

There will, of course, be Margaritaville’s signature License to Chill Bar so you can waste aways while searchin’ for your long lost shaker of salt, along with a JWB Prime Steak and Seafood restaurant and various other eating and drinking spots.

The resort promises “destination-inspired” touches like crossed skis instead of surfboards and directional signs highlighting Tahoe sites.
