Sorry, scalpers. According to some social media posts and the national lifestyle and culture website Uproxx, tickets for Beyoncé's upcoming Renaissance World Tour cannot be resold for a higher price than buyers paid on Ticketmaster—at least not through official Ticketmaster resale channels.

On Twitter, an unofficial Beyoncé fan account with the handle @RenaissanceWT posted this last night:

Initial reports say that those who have already purchased tickets to one of Queen Bey's upcoming shows and have tried to turn a profit through Ticketmaster have been met with a message:

"You cannot sell your tickets for higher than the price you paid, including all fees."

That's according to a TikTok user going by mars.0rbit, who also reports that other online secondary markets appear to be blocking the scalping of Beyoncé tickets as well:

The news comes in the midst of increasing governmental scrutiny of Ticketmaster. The global ticket-seller enraged fans of Taylor Swift after vast swaths of Swifties were unable to secure passes to her hotly anticipated Eras Tour in November. This development certainly presents a roadblock to would-be scalpers trying to flip their tickets in short order, but it likely won't be able to prevent all ticket resales.

The Renaissance World Tour is scheduled to take the acclaimed singer through Europe and North America before landing at Levi’s Stadium on Aug. 30. More information and preregistration for tickets are available at her website.
