The Battery Club, San Francisco's go-to private club for tech executives and visiting celebrities, has opened a luxe outpost in the British Virgin Islands.

The estate is the private home of San Francisco tech couple Xochi and Michael Birch, who also own The Battery. Dubbed The Village, it rents for between $24,000 and $32,000 a night and requires a four-night minimum stay. It's available to anybody, though Battery members get 25% off. For that fee, up to 20 guests enjoy an all-inclusive vacation in "an island extension of the club" that was "built over a six-year period to exacting standards." There are eight full-time staffers on-site and at least 11 when guests are present.

The three-acre estate contains eight standalone guest homes and one Main Pavilion for socializing. The estate is perched on the edge of Moskito Island in the British Virgin Islands. The Birches lived there full-time during Covid, and they just welcomed their first guest booking with stellar reviews, said Erin King, the estate's manager.

Each of the separate cottages has sweeping views of either the ocean or the coastline.

The estate was designed by San Francisco-based Ken Linsteadt Architects. The rooms offer complete privacy, King said.

When you want to socialize, head over to the Main Pavilion, where you can enjoy the sunset from an underwater table, zoom down a waterslide or watch TV in the movie theater.

In a nod to The Battery's famous parties, there's a DJ booth that comes out of the dining room floor, which turns the pool deck into a party and dancefloor.

An onsite chef turns out lavish meals each day. Sample dishes include scallops with burnt orange emulsion, coriander and radicchio, and mahi mahi with charred corn, verjus soubise and rainbow chard.

Finally, there's a water sports team that will take guests to do activities such as snorkeling, kayaking and Hobie sailing.
