Tis’ the season for pain and pleasure. After canceling last year’s event due to COVID-19, the highly anticipated annual Folsom Street Fair returned with vigor on Sunday between 8th and 12th Streets.

The 37th annual event, held in San Francisco's historic Leather District, was also rebranded as Megahood 2021, both to honor the event's original 1984 moniker and to signal a COVID-safe tone.

While physical contact is a well-known aspect of the event, attendees were required to provide evidence of vaccination and the event's two major stages were divided into smaller stages with live BDSM demonstrations and music. Local pubs and restaurants also took the place of food and beverage street vendors this year.
