A person was killed early Tuesday morning in the Tenderloin neighborhood.

When San Francisco police arrived at Turk Street near the Taylor Street intersection, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound who later died at the scene at around 3:15 a.m.

Officers from the Tenderloin Station were initially responding to a 911 call about a shooting. According to ABC7 (opens in new tab), a window of a nearby business has a bullet hole in it.

The Medical Examiner identified the victim as 39-year-old Jonathan Rhone, an Alameda County resident.

There is no suspect in custody at this time and police are still investigating the incident, police sources say.
