The Oakland Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit released photos of a vehicle wanted in connection with the fatal hit-and-run of Tzu-Ta Ko, a 100-year-old Oakland resident.

The collision occurred on Sunday just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of 19th and Harrison streets, less than 1,000 feet west of Lake Merritt.

The vehicle is described as a tan or white Mini Cooper, and the Oakland Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.

OPD urges anyone with information about the case to contact its Traffic Investigation Unit at (510) 777-8570.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Ko, who was suffering from severe head trauma from the collision. The Oakland Fire Department and Falck Ambulance arrived on scene and provided aid to Ko, who succumbed to his injuries.

It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
