Paul Pelosi has made his first public appearance since a brutal hammer attack at his home hospitalized him in on Oct. 28.
Pelosi appeared with his wife, Nancy Pelosi, the outgoing speaker of the House, at the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday night in Washington, D.C.
Photos from the event show Pelosi wearing a hat. He suffered a fractured skull after the attack and underwent surgery.

David DePape, a 42-year-old suspect and Richmond resident, allegedly attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer at the family's Pacific Heights after breaking in after 2 a.m.
DePape is said to have asked where the speaker was, and federal prosecutors believe she was the main target in the attack.
DePape faces federal charges of attempted kidnapping of a federal officer or employee, and of assault of an immediate family member of a federal official.
