What to Expect When You’re Expecting Bad Bay Area Weather

A wind advisory remains in effect through the bulk of Tuesday as a cold front moves into the Bay Area, with patchy early morning drizzles forecasted to become moderate to heavy rain as the day progresses.

BART advises adding an additional 10 minutes to your commute time as trains are running slower because of the wet weather. An earlier incident on the Bay Bridge incline has been cleared and there were no major snarls on the roads as of 7:20 a.m.

The National Weather Service advised that more tree limbs could come down amid the gusty winds—hundreds of trees have already been felled in San Francisco as storms have pummeled the area in recent weeks.

A flood advisory is in effect for Marin County through 8:45 a.m., with the National Weather Service warning of potential issues on highways, underpasses and streets.

PG&E's outage map did not reflect any major issues early Tuesday morning but the utility company warned that the bad weather could bring power issues.

Temperatures will remain in the low-50s for most of the day in the city, with rain expected to stop around 5 p.m. Overnight lows will be in the 40s. The wet weather is forecast through Wednesday, with the sun finally breaking through on Thursday.
