The Standard rounded up a list of unique florists in San Francisco. Each of the designers listed below will create a custom arrangement that’ll be sure to impress even the pickiest partner.

But here’s the deal: It’s gonna cost you. A basic bouquet delivered to a San Francisco address typically runs north of $100. Want something extra special? Double—or triple—that.
You can save a bit by picking up the arrangement and delivering it in person—after all, isn’t that what any valentine really wants?
Russian Hill and Hayes Valley
Started by two San Francisco business owners in 2016, Acme Floral Co. now has two SF storefronts and an online shop, as well. Extraordinary “luxe” arrangements layer dozens of stems for uber impact. Place orders online for pickup or delivery. Be sure to indicate your preferred pickup spot during the online checkout process. Delivery to SF addresses runs $14.99.
Mission
A delivery-based San Francisco floral boutique offering a variety of unique presentations, including a “Bloom Box” with stems that naturally overflow from its sides. Valentine’s offerings for 2023 include tulips, ranunculus and orchids. Hit the website to order an arrangement and/or candles and other gifts for delivery.
Online
The SF branch of a nationwide online florist offers many lower-priced options and some with same-day delivery. Check the website for a variety of bright and happy Valentine’s offerings.
Cow Hollow
A bit of Paris on Union Street, the Bud Stop always displays its fresh blooms on the sidewalk. Beautifully arranged flowers can be delivered with a $50 minimum purchase and a $15 delivery fee. After 40 years at this location, the Bud Stop is moving right next door to 2206 Union St. once a renovation of the space is completed in March.
Hayes Valley
This small, family-owned florist specializes in both custom arrangements and the classics, including roses, roses and more roses for Valentine’s Day. Preorder online for pickup in-store or delivery. Arrangements start at $50 and living plants at $50.
Online
Started in SF in 2010, Farm Girl Flowers has elevated the standards of flower delivery with its exquisite locally sourced burlap-wrapped flower bouquets. The upside of burlap? More stems! Panhandle
The Floral Loft creates especially romantic arrangements using magnificent blooms. And if the whole Valentine’s thing goes well, the Floral Loft pulls off a gorgeous wedding-day bouquet. Though no in-person shopping is available, bouquets and vase arrangements can be delivered or picked up at the Panhandle location. Call to order between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Noe Valley
With over 40 years of combined experience in the floral business, Flowers of the Valley features fresh locally sourced, basic arrangements for in-store purchases and delivery. And delivery to SF addresses is only $10!
Cow Hollow
Le Bouquet has been selling flowers on Union Street since 1987. Though they are currently expanding into the space next door, the shop is still open for business! Pick the size of arrangement you like and its floral designers will create a custom arrangement. Just fill out the order form online to indicate pickup or delivery.
Dogpatch
Shop plants, flowers, handmade ceramics, candles and gift-able home goods at this hip outpost in Dogpatch. Valentine’s selections range from a unique dried arrangement with banksia and bleached feathers to impressive fresh bouquets. Preorder hand-tied floral bouquets for pickup or delivery. The deadline for Valentine’s Day orders is Feb. 10.
SoMa
One of San Francisco’s classic florists, Rossi & Rovetti dates back to 1871. The shop is now a delivery-only business operated from its location across from the Flower Mart. R&R’s picks for Valentine’s Day are worth checking out for their simple arrangements in unique vases, many of which are priced well under $100.
Castro
The go-to spot on 18th Street with flowers spilling onto the sidewalk, Urban Flowers is the Castro’s family-operated choice for fresh and fabulous bouquets. Preorder for delivery or pickup, or do it old school: Walk in, point to what you like and Urban Flowers will wrap it up for you on the spot.
