Bar Gemini—a sister business to natural wine and craft spirits boutique Gemini Bottle Co.—is coming to the Mission, not far from that 4-year-old shop known for its excellent selection of natural wines and occasionally quirky Instagram presence.

Dominique Henderson and Alex Pomerantz applied for an on-sale beer and wine license that’s been pending since Nov. 18. Henderson also owns Gemini Bottle Co., which is a few blocks away on 22nd Street. Pomerantz is the founder of natural wine purveyor Subject to Change in Richmond.

The future Bar Gemini, at 2845 18th St., is a retail space within a luxury residential complex called The Madelon, close to a hive of buzzy bars and eateries like Flour + Water, True Laurel and Tartine Manufactory.

Henderson told The Standard in an email that her team has yet to begin construction and that Bar Gemini has not set an opening date. What’s more certain is that the astrologically named bar may have Mission barhoppers seeing double—in the best way, of course.
