See wild photos of California plastered in a poppy superbloom

As the weather gets warmer, California’s historic 2023 superbloom will soon fade into the hillsides and fields where it began. Before it does, take a look at the photo gallery below with a glimpse of the eye-popping color seen around the Golden State this spring.

And before the blasts of poppies, mustard, oxalis and other wildflowers are scattered to the wind, get out for a walk to see spring flowers in the city, the Wine Country or in gardens all around the Bay Area.
