Elon Musk reinstated former President Donald Trump's Twitter account after conducting a poll of the site's users.

Musk, who bought Twitter last month, asked users if they thought Trump should be allowed back after he was banned in last year following the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection. The poll garnered more than 15 million votes with “yes” winning with 52% of the vote.

Trump's account reappeared on Twitter Saturday night, with his incendiary tweets preserved in full.

It’s the latest policy change since Musk took control over the company late last month, throwing its future into uncertainty as employees were first fired and then resigned en masse.

The Trump decision follows the three other controversial reinstatements of Kathy Griffin, Jordan Peterson and the Babylon Bee.

It's not yet clear whether Trump will begin using Twitter again. The former president, who is facing a battery of legal troubles, including an investigation into sensitive documents taken to his Mar-a-Lago home, sends much of his communications on Truth Social.

He told Fox News last month that he "[likes] Elon" but won't begin using Twitter again.

He did, however, announce his candidacy for president earlier this week.
