Mountain View police are working to identify the driver of a newer blue Chevrolet Corvette who allegedly groped a woman after following her.

Officers were called on Jan. 20 just after 8 p.m. about a woman who was groped from behind.

The victim told officers she noticed a man following her in a blue Chevrolet Corvette along the 1900 block of California Street in Mountain View before parking the car.

The man then allegedly groped the woman before running back to the Chevy and driving eastbound.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and white tennis shoes.

Police are now asking the public for information on the suspect or any videos or photos of the incident.

The Corvette is the third blue car in the past week to make Bay Area headlines, after a blue Porsche was spotted blowing past traffic in Highway 101's shoulder lane and a blue Scion mistakenly drove into wet cement in San Francisco.
