A Cruise car named Souffle "made contact" with a Muni bus Thursday afternoon, the General Motors-owned company confirmed.

Cruise said no one reported getting hurt and no passengers were in the vehicle when it gently rear-ended the city bus by Goodfellas Gifts on Haight Street.

According to a photo posted to Twitter, passersby stopped on the sidewalk to observe as Cruise's nose touched Muni's back bumper. A Twitter user going by @d_bau13 posted that Cruise should "come get your guy Souffle."

It's unclear whether a driver sat behind the wheel when Souffle rolled into the bus.

The Standard reached out to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

According to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, manufacturers testing self-driving vehicles must report any collision that "resulted in property damage, bodily injury or death" within 10 days of it happening.
