It’s no secret that San Francisco is one of the most expensive cities in the world. So how much would you need to make there to be considered “rich”?

We hung out at the Ferry Building and asked six Bay Area residents this very question. If you’re watching this from a city like Buffalo, New York, or Dallas, Texas—well-known for being very affordable—their answers may shock you. But Bay Area residents might find they’re less surprised by the range of six-figure answers.
